Recreation can be your gateway to conservation through the Canadian Wildlife Federation and friends. Our interactions with the natural world inspire us to continue exploring and enjoying wildlife and habitat.
OCEANS MAKE HUMANS HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER
There’s something about the ocean that draws people to it and research shows that just being near the ocean improves our health and increases our happiness1. Despite the connection we feel to the ocean, we actually know very little about our oceans, humans have explored less than five per cent of it2! Regular boaters and water goers therefore play a crucial role as ambassadors and stewards of this habitat that makes up the majority of our world.
