There’s no denying that fall is here! That means it’s time to start thinking about Bat Week (October 25-31). Host a bat-box building session on Halloween and help establish a world record. For more information, click here!
Don’t know how to build a bat box. No worries! The Canadian Wildlife Federation has some tips and a video on how to build one. Check it out here!
Bat boxes provide a warm and safe place for bats to roost in during the summer. Happy building!

hello! we received a bat building kit last week. thank you for this special gift! we thought it would be good to share this with our son’s class and his teacher has agreed to take on the project. next week the kids will be building the box and my husband will install it in an area where the kids have nature studies. its near a creek and seems ideal for it. we are so excited to be able to share this special gift with more children and raise more awareness about bats.
we would like to help report back monthly as the cover letter requests. but the instruction sheet was missing from the kit. could we please have one emailed to us?
also, it is likely that our son’s teacher will be doing the reporting each month. her name is Jennifer Yamamura and the school is West Sechelt Elementary.
thank you, again, for the is special gift. we look forward to learning and sharing.
sincerely,
Peggy Crawford
