An example of an eel ladder previous used in the Ottawa River and its associated tributaries. The attractant flow is used to attract the eels to the ladder and they then ascend the ladder (which is covered), which is similar to a peg board – once at the top, they are caught in a flow through trap which is monitored daily. We will collect measurements and then release all eels. (CWF)
