Hinterland Who\u2019s Who (who\u2019s turning 50 this year!) is joining in the celebrations by launching a new video about the <a href=\"http:\/\/donate.cwf-fcf.org\/site\/R?i=3eTita3jXxLEJiwmtcdqfw\">Little Brown Bat<\/a>!<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/F_amnqvUl0k?rel=0\" height=\"360\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Little Brown Bat was once the most common and widely distributed bat species in Canada. Sadly, this amazing bat, alongside three other Canadian bat species, is currently under the threat of a disease called white-nose syndrome. Because of this, experts believe that this important species might be facing extinction from certain areas of our country.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Wildlife Federation and Hinterland Who\u2019s Who are working hard to ensure that the Little Brown Bat remains part of the biodiversity of Canada. And you can help! You can learn more about the species and what you can do for its conservation on <a href=\"http:\/\/hww.ca\">hww.ca<\/a>, and participate in <a href=\"http:\/\/helpthebats.ca\">CWF\u2019s Help the Bats campaign<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>By working together, we can lend a hand to the Little Brown Bat!<\/p>\n<p>Happy Biodiversity Day!<\/p>\n<p>\/\/<\/p>\n<p>Saviez-vous que le 22 mai est la Journ\u00e9e internationale de la diversit\u00e9 \u00e9cologique? Tristement, cette chauve-souris \u00e9tonnante, tout comme trois autres esp\u00e8ces de chauves-souris canadiennes, est pr\u00e9sentement affect\u00e9e par une maladie nomm\u00e9e le syndrome du museau blanc. \u00c0 cause de cette maladie, les experts croient que cette esp\u00e8ce importante pourrait faire face \u00e0 une extinction dans certaines r\u00e9gions de notre pays.<\/p>\n<p>La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration canadienne de la faune et Faune et flore du pays travaillent tr\u00e8s fort pour que la petite chauve-souris brune demeure une composante de notre biodiversit\u00e9. Et vous pouvez donner un coup de main!
