One exhibit showed how bat biologists catch bats in mist nets for their studies. Biologists set up these nets at twilight in areas where they think bats are likely to be flying around, such as at cave entrances and near streams. These nets are the same ones used by bird biologists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/net-collage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2721\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/net-collage.jpg\" alt=\"net collage\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[PHOTO CREDIT: Karen Vanderwolf]<\/p>\n<p>Another exhibit had information on bat hearing and the sounds they make. Bats have big ears and excellent hearing!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/hearing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2723\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/hearing-480x640.jpg\" alt=\"hearing\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/hearing-480x640.jpg 480w, https:\/\/blog.cwf-fcf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/hearing.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[PHOTO CREDIT: Karen Vanderwolf]<\/p>\n<p>Other exhibits included bat anatomy, the importance of bat boxes, and a replica bat cave that you could explore!
