One of Canada&#8217;s largest moths, their wingspan\u00a0can\u00a0be approximately 15 cm wide!\u00a0Our moth\u00a0conveniently stayed put\u00a0for 2 days, first on the ground and then hanging in a small\u00a0ash tree mixed with our elms and maples.\u00a0CWF&#8217;s facebook post on it got tons of attention, so we thought a few more photos and facts would be good!<\/p>\n<p>Cecropia moths (<em>Hyalophora cecropia) <\/em>only live for a week or two as adults, with their sole purpose being mating and laying eggs.\u00a0Adult moths don&#8217;t have mouth parts and never eat.
